A PCT thru hiker from Australia was rescued by ambulance from my hiker oasis this afternoon. A snake had bitten her, with fang marks and some swelling visible, but she wasn’t sure whether it was a rattlesnake or, if so, whether the bite was envenomated. She’s now on her way to the ER.

I just want to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the service you provided to countless hikers over the years. I did the PCT last year and was so blessed to have met you. The trail is alot of things, but I’ve always held that the people are what make it such special place. Thanks for being part of so many of our journey’s. With all the love from the trail community, we thank you for everything you’ve done for us and wish you be best with whatever trail life takes you down next
